Modern Bread Basket Weaving Class
Weave a modern bread basket from the first stake to the lashed rim. It's a rectangular basket, 5 1/2" x 10" at the base with 4" sides and leather handles, sized for a loaf, rolls at dinner, or napkins and flatware on the table.
An evening's work, two to three hours. You'll set the base, weave the sides, lash the rim, and set the handles. This one is an advanced beginner weave, so it goes best if you've woven a basket before, and every tool and material is on the table when you sit down.
The basket goes home with you the same day. We meet at Sugar 'n Spice, where coffee and cheesecake are available to buy while you work.
